Parenting might feel impossible right now. You might be worried that you don’t have enough money to support a baby or that you won’t be able to accomplish your goals. Or maybe your partner doesn’t support your pregnancy. All of these are valid reasons that might make you think parenting is impossible. However, the number one thing to ask yourself when it comes to parenting is this: Do I want to parent?

If your answer is yes, if you have even the smallest desire to parent, then this might be the right option for you. The circumstances that you believe are holding you back from parenting can eventually change for the better (for example, if you finish school or land a higher-paying job, you can gain financial stability). If you have a desire to parent, we have resources and services to help ensure you succeed.

What Resources Are Available to Help Me Parent?

At HopePlace Berryville, we believe that every woman deserves to have the resources she needs to parent successfully and accomplish her goals. This is why we offer parenting resources at no cost to you, including:

  • Pregnancy Coaching: Pregnancy comes with a lot of changes, both physically and emotionally. This is why we offer free pregnancy coaching, which pairs you with a coach who will walk you through what to expect. Not only will you feel more prepared to handle the physical changes that come along with pregnancy, but you will also have emotional support as well.
  • Education: Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but by learning all you can about what to expect, you will feel more prepared to handle motherhood. During our parenting courses, you will learn the basics of newborn care (like sleep and feeding schedules, breastfeeding tips, first aid, etc.), which will give you the confidence you need to know that you can parent successfully.
  • Assistance: You’re not in this parenting journey alone. If you need financial, emotional, or material assistance, we’ve got you covered.

Is Parenting Right for Me?

While only you can decide if parenting is right for you, asking yourself the following can help:

  • Do I want to parent?
  • If all my life circumstances were perfect, would I want to parent?
  • What might my life look like if I choose to parent?
  • How might I feel if I don’t choose to parent?
  • What would it look like to parent while working toward my goals?

At HopePlace Berryville, we’re here to support you as you navigate your options. Contact us today to schedule a free, confidential appointment.
